Your EC550, while it does not come with an under-the-counter adapter, the diverter is "shower" style and shuts itself automatically once the water flow has stopped. (Like the old-fashioned tub/shower diverters - you run the water through the tub faucet, then pull up on a metal tab to divert the water to the shower - the EC550 has "pull-tab" style diverter that works like this - once the water supply is shut off, the diverter closes back again and water goes straight through the tap)

I noticed on another site that had the Genesis unit that said it did not have an under sink adaptor. There was one for the Harmony but it included the facet. I don't need the facet, I have one from my RO system (it matches my sink). I would think the Harmony should be able to be connected to a standard filtered water facet. How can I find out for sure?

Both the Genesis and the Harmony come with standard faucet hook-up and the diverter hardware for the under sink adapter.

Enagic does not provide information on their filtration system or materials used.  It is assumed they use the same basic activated carbon filter used as the primary filtration in most water ionizers.

For the Life 8000, what percentage is the highest PH? What percentage is the highest acid? How often do you have to change the filters and how much are they.

The PH range on the LIFE 8000 is 2.6 – 11.4.  This is from testing by LIFE in their facility so your individual results may vary.

As for how the LIFE 8000 compares to the Enagic units, we have a several customers who were “sold” on ionized water after using water from a friend’s Enagic unit however they were not ready to pay the $4,000 cost on the Enagic SD501.  These customers instead purchased a KYK Genesis, Tyent 7070 or LIFE 7500.  The LIFE 7500 is basically a  countertop version of the LIFE 8000.
